Win32: setting window size and style after creation

here goes... i cant seem to change window size or style after the window has been created... basically i send messages to the window im using... SetSize doesnt set size... Setstyle sets style but the window becomes unmoveable with the mouse... heres the source... void CWindow::SetSize(int iWidth,int iHeight) { SendMessage(m_hWindow,WM_SIZE,0,MAKELPARAM((WORD)iWidth,(WORD)iHeight)); return; } void CWindow::Setstyle(LONG lstyle) { SetWindowLong(m_hWindow,GWL_style,lstyle); return; } please help... thank you for your time
