D3DXCreateFont loads the wrong font on some machines

The game uses 4 custom fonts and although the installer installs those on the Windows fonts folder, it displays the Arial font instead of the custom ones on most of, if not all other computers than mine. Yet I have the very same fonts in my Windows fonts folder that are included in the installer and confirmed to have been installed properly. I hate that I can't just make it load the font with a filename and it has to choose what font to load with a font name from the Windows folder and obviously the D3DXCreateFont function is BAD at choosing the correct one. How can I fix this problem? EDIT: This problem related to installing the fonts which seemed to be a complicated process which the installer now handles properly.
