Hi, I know this is probably me trying to run before I can walk, but can openGL handle refraction? I want to create prism objects that warp what the viewer sees behind them. I've tried looking around but I cannot find anything about this kind of thing anywhere. Is this a painless thing that I do not know how to do, or a major job of ultra-difficulty? I understand the basic physics of how refraction works, I jsut have *no* idea ow to implement it... [Edited by - Lingmops on February 14, 2005 12:58:49 PM]

Exact refraction can't be achieved with today's hardware on arbitrary meshes.
Today's implementations are either texture tricks or handle very simple cases like theorically flat water surfaces.
