Missing cropping/placement info for textures in 3DS Max export

Hi, I´m currently writing a modelviewer which loads objects from an .ase file, but unfortunately Max´s standard export doesn´t include information on cropping and placement for textures. Since I can´t modify/write plugins for 3DS Max of my own (I´ve read that they only compile with VC++ which I do not possess) I´d like to ask if there´s a modified ASCII exporter available somewhere which includes cropping/placement information for textures. Thanks in advance
