Thanks for that plug-in Rob [smile]

I have updated the thread to include your nifty addition.

Is it better without the "allintitle:"? I haven't really done much testing.....

Without 'allintitle' it gets confused and starts looking for the plain text itself. Now, this probably seems like a good thing, but the problem is that it looks ANYWHERE it can through GDnet to match those words. With allintitle, it forces the search to look at the thread titles only (since the forums output the title of the thread you are in to the title of the page)

Example when searching for 'forum game' (first thing that came to mind)

With allintitle

Without allinttile
True that.

That can potentially miss a lot of results, and google already ranks the keywords in the title pretty highly to begin with. This limits it to just forum topics but also includes the post content as well, potentially providing more useful results.

Try This!

Thanks Michael. If I remove the allintitle section of my google query, it does pick up a lot more hits, but yours works a lot better when searching both title and body by looking at the actual page itself (topic.asp). Top work [smile]

Updated the OP.
... But having articles included in the search is mighty helpful.

I reckon the useful tools section should maybe go up top of the OP perhaps.
