lamothes Code
Someone recently told me that Lamothes code is crappy to not use his but use the code that comes with the DirectX SDK. Why is that? Also would you recommend loading bitmaps Lamothes way or DDReLoadBitmap()??? Which is better and how can I learn most of them because I would like to someday be a professional game developer and would like to know almost every way of doing things. Please Help

Most of his code is good as it stands, but some of it needs some tweaking. It''s also good practice to write your own image loaders... although something like PNG or GIF formats are as confusing as hell and you should probably use a prewritten loader for those. Still, most of the critical code is good. Just keep the SDK open and handy while you''re coding, mmmkay?

Everywhere I look, I see rabbits. Maybe I should take down all my Sailor Moon stuff.

Actually OoMMMoO you misinterpreted what I said. I meant that LaMothe's code is not good to use in things like wrappers. I said you should write your own wrapper and if you want examples to base your code on the samples that come with the dx SDK are better than LaMothe's.
LaMothe's code, in my opinion is only good for learning from. He's not teaching you how to be a good coder, he's teaching you DirectX and other game programming concepts. If you disagree with me, fine, I was only giving you my opinion.
