Borland C Builder & GUI

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone! I want to create my own, DirectX-based, GUI, not with VC++, but with BCB. I want to know if anyone can give me a general idea where to find the declarations and implementations of the forms, controls and window messages. Has anyone done this before in BCB? Any help would be way cool! Thanks!!!

I want to create the GUI in DirectX, though I want to create my own controls. So, I haven''t done anything like this before, and I''ve read the article about creating GUI''s and DirectX, but I have a problem with the overall topic. I guess I will need to draw all the controls(i.e. a button not pressed, a button pressed etc.), but how do I implement the window messages, graphics and events in an object?

I think for your project, you''ll need very good BCB component development knowledge. Making your own DirectX components is no good idea to start with.
Anyway, visit the following page:

Anyways, just got back online after heavy coding! Anyways, I was working on the GUI, which should be finished in a few weeks... if you would like to help email me... the GUI is really really cool! It''s like the normal BCB GUI, except w/ a special form component that ''takes'' control of the form, to allow only BCBDXLib GUI components to be added...
Urgh!
Must continue coding, see ya all.
