I am using Code Warrior, i have been programming in C++ for about one month, i have made some tile based demos in BASIC. I was wondering what sites, i should check out to do 2D, also does Code Warrior support DirectX, how do i find out? Looking to make some type of side-scrolling or RPG 2D game to start off thanks. Thanks -Fifthcore

I once used CodeWarrior. I still love the interface. But it just doesn''t have enough of the handy, almost unnoticable tools that MSVC++ has. If you can, get MSVC. It will save you innumberable headaches. If you want to use DX and CodeWarrior, in theory it works, but in practice (or at least my experience) it doesn''t. I got link errors coming out of my ears. I was also using version 3.1, so things may have changed. I would get MSVC++ anyway... it is like night and day the difference that all the little tools in MSVC++ makes...
