Where may one find up-to-date info on DirectX 8''s release (other than www.microsoft.com), what it includes, and what we can expect / look forward to?
( Note that I''m not asking for an URL for the SDK''s download, legal and legit ... non-beta-tester information only please )

Somebody with a little of experience learn that the last release will indicate the properties about some software.. Is very easy to send beta_dummy_trap, and MS is not the exception.
I suggest to wait the final release, because many people will receive some surprice ;-) (and some: "this don''t will go??").
In another case, you always can use dx7 if you dislike the dx8.
I only hope to dx8 compatibilities with x-cube!!.

I believe there is a list serve set up for DX info, but I seem to have forgotten the URL.
But, as soon as it is released, you will know by the "DirectX 8 Now ready for download!" listing on the mainpage of gamedev =)
