I really need to find a free web host that supports PHP and a mysql database. If anyone has any places like that, it would be great if they could post and let me know! cheers

You can probably get it by using them with different services. There are a number of free MySQL hosting services on Google and a large list of free PHP hosting services here. I haven't tried any of them though.

If you're just testing and learning PHP and MySQL. Download EasyPHP, it's largely in French but there is an English option. It installs a webserver (apache), PHP, phpMyAdmin and MySQL in one fell blow.
