Hi all, I've been using This Tutorial to attempt to load an animated tiny.x into my project. I finally managed to construct a bit of code that compiled, however, when trying to load the model, I get a runtime error.
     SkinnedMeshHierarchyAllocator smha(this);

     hr = D3DXLoadMeshHierarchyFromX(filename, D3DXMESH_MANAGED, d3dgrabber.getDevice(),
               &smha, NULL, &pFrameRoot, &pAnimController);
     if (FAILED(hr))
		MessageBox(NULL, "LOAD ERROR", "ERROR", MB_OK);

I know that trying to obtain the device from another class is causing one problem, as this function will always fail and return D3DERR_INVALIDCALL. When I tried to assimilate it into my general graphics code, it went through my SkinnedMeshHierarchyAllocator's functions to create frames and mesh containers, but after finishing that, I still received the "LOAD ERROR" message box and the program exited (null pointer probably). I can't figure out what is causing the problem then, as this line of code looks almost identical to the code in the SkinnedMesh sample with the SDK. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me, Jeff
