HLSL tex2DBias()

Kind of a side track question: what is the range of tex2DBias? I mean, how can I bias the MIP level to be the minimum size, set the second argument to -1? Then to set it to the max size I'd set it to 1?

I don't imagine there's a real specific range. Set it to some high positive number, and see what you get. Of course, it's better if you know how many mip levels you have, or can discern it and set it into a pshader constant.
