Maya 6 to Blender 2.34

Anyone know what version of Python I need in order to transfer something from Maya 6 to Blender 2.34? Every time I try Blender crashes on me. Anyone know what particualr version of Python I need, or perhaps another solution to get Maya exports loaded into Blender??

Yeah, the OBJ loaded.

Looks like I'll have to retexture everything huh? lol

Also, I see a lot of diaginal lines in there that wasn't there in Maya. Hopefully that wont mess me up when I try to tweak with the model. Any other advice is appreciated dmac.

Anyone know the procedure to place a picture on a texturted wall in Maya? Like putting a sign or logo over the texture??

Also, how do you not stretch out textures over a large and long wall??

Anyone know how to UV Map?

I heard you either:

a) texture everything using Materials, then UV Map.

or

b) UV Map, then texture everything using Materials.
