Hi everyone, this may not be the right place to post this, but I thought it seemed more viable then in Help Wanted. I'm working on a 3D engine, and I've recently gotten rid of the Shadow Mapping algorithm and have implemented 2-sided stencil shadows. I think the algorithm is working perfectly, but the only test model I have to use with it is a animated zombie model made in milkshape 3d. This would be fine, but the model has some extraneous polygons around the feet and calves that are unclosed. The model must be closed for my stencil shadowing to work and I think it is causing me some horrible artifacts. The problem is, my version of milkshape is all b0rked. I've purchased a legitimate copy of it from chumbalum soft, but their software copyright protection has gone completely haywire and there's no way I can get it to let me save my work. Can someone edit this model, just delete the unclosed polygons around the feet (and maybe run some test to make sure it is a fully closed manifold) and then email it to me? I would be very grateful, it has been very frustrating not being able to test my wonderful new shadows with something animated. Anyway, you can download the model at turbosquid here: http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/Index.cfm/ID/184968 If you could help me out, I would appreciate it very much! You can send the finished model to xfogx (at) hotmail.com Thanks again! Edit: for clarity, just the file Zombie02.ms3d needs to be changed, the other files can be left as is.
