The DXGame Engine is a 2D game engine/toolkit for Visual Basic 6 that allows even novice programmers to quickly get a project up and running. Even if you have limited programming experience you will be surprised how easy it is to get results. Utilizing the power of DirectX 8 technologies, your games will effortlessly take advantage of modern features like alpha channel, rotation, scaling (x&y), opacity, with minimal to zero performance hit. For programmers already familiar with "bitblit" or "Directx 7 direct draw", the DXGame Engine is a perfect upgrade path for you to work with. We're in the final stages of development and we would love for you to stop by our site, download the demos and tag our board with your comments. Thanks! http://dxgame.com

That actually doesn't look too bad. The demos were really well done. I won't personally ever use the engine as I greatly dislike any BASIC language, but that's still some good work!

Keep of the hard work, and I could see this engine actually being useful for complex games, unlike the majority of the game "engines" that people have made.
Great work - runs smooth and fast.

Couple of issues with demo #4, which I'm sure you know about. One you may not notice is that the readme says "demo #3". ;)

Keep it up!
Nilkn - Thanks for the comments, we apprecite it!
GroZZleR - DOH! Ok, we'll fix the readme, Thanks. :)

Nice work, but I would really recommend to rebuild the site.
I dont use VB but I know some people who will be happy to use this engine.
How appropriate, you fight like a cow!
Pretty nice engine. I loved the Raiden-style demo (#3). I'd use this engine, but also like the first guy, I'm not into BASIC. But this seems great for beginners who want to get a bigger taste on game programming but aren't too sure about how to program in DirectX. I know a couple of people who might be interested in this so I'll show them the link.
2 questions...

when, and how much?
Ilankt - Thanks. Yah, it's a lame site. We'll be upgrading the site soon.

link3333 - Thanks for the comments. Re: Demo #3. I coded that in under 2 hours, and then I was like, !@#$, this could be a cool little game! If only I had more time. :) LOL...

Anonymous Poster - We're going to code a few more demos, add a few more features, crank out the docs and then release it. We're prolly looking at a few weeks still.
