Hello there, When D3DXCreateText creates the text mesh, is the mesh centred around the origin? And if not, what is the correct method to move the mesh to a given position on the screen? Kind regards, Mark Coleman

I believe it is centered on the origin, though it might have the origin at the top left of the mesh. It would only take a few seconds to check.

You place the text mesh the same way you place any other, by setting the World Matrix.

BTW, text as a mesh is VERY slow, though that may not be an issue for you depending on how you're using it.

Thanks for the pointer Ken. I am using the mesh to calculate a bounding area for the text, so this will only be performed once.

Thanks again.
