Whenever I try to run autogen.sh to build something I get these errors:
Checking for required M4 macros...
  libtool.m4 not found
  glib-gettext.m4 not found
  intltool.m4 not found
  pkg.m4 not found
I just installed the libglib2.0-dev package (I'm using Debian) and it didn't help. Any other ideas?

BradDaBug,

is there a configure script in the directory? if there is, do a './configure && make && make install'.

Try installing the packages aclocal, automake, autoheader, autoconf, libtool and m4 and everything related to them.
