Initializing a program

Does someone know how to initiate a program in OpenGL? I have an idea but i don't really know how. Also i know i need some header files to work in windows. As i only have them for dos. Could someone tell me where to get them?

If you want to render OpenGL using the windows API you create a window, and then use WGL calls to set up a rendering context connected to the device context of your window.

Or you use a library like glut or SDL, which do the window creation for you.

But there are many tutorials in the web how to do that specifically - use google!
There you will also learn all about the required OpenGL libraries and their header files.
