PIX for windows...

Recommended Posts

Folks, I have a Q about the tool PIX for Windows which comes with v9. I am wondering if one could use it to tell how much time one is spent blocking in Lock calls (as inappropriate locking of resources is a known common problem). I know it tells how many times a certain kind of lock is locked. But the actual DURATION? I could not seem to find it. Does anybody have an idea? Also, it does seems that PIX claims to give you info that you usu. get from a CPU profiler _AND_ and GPU profiler. It is not quite clear to me (After browsing all the countersets it offers) how it can give much info about the GPU.. Anyone with any ideas, please kindly share! Thanks!
