WIn32 Dialogs

Ok, lets say you have your main window with all your nice little menus and such. Clicking on one of the menu items creates a dialog. This dialog has several buttons on it you can click on. When you click on a button, you want to be able to return to the main window and do something with it, whithout destroying the dialog. In other words, you want to be able to go back and forth between them, using the dialog sort of like a toolbar. I don't know how complicated the answer to this question is, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

You want to look into the function "SetWindowPos" (check out the second parameter), and you want to look up "modeless dialog boxes". You may also want to search for "z order" or "window z order" at msdn
