Graphics in win32?

Well, i was wondering if it would be ok to create a sidescroller game with win32 graphics? Because ive been spending some time now learning about win32.

Why wouldn't it be ok? Given the power of today's machines, GDI should do the trick for a side scroller. Dig in.

theres no reason not to... as far as I can see... If you start running into performance issues you may want to look into DirectDraw or Direct3D with sprites
