Hiya, Ive created a GLUT application that displays the vertices using VBO's (vertex buffer objects) ive seen the use of glMapBuffer - but I cant seem to get it to work so that I can access the memory and replace values for instance I would like to repace a vertex within the buffer, is tehre a simple way to do this? thanks David

What, exactly, doesn't work with your current method?

If you know the vertex's position in the buffer, just use BufferSubData.

Well my problem is that the compiler always throws up the error - function undefined to glMapBufferARB

So perhaps my problem is that im adding ARB on the end like it says in the ARB documentation (ARB_vertex_buffer_object)?

cheers

David

How are you setting up your function pointers? Are you using a library like GLee? or you doing it yourself?

PFNGLMAPBUFFERARBPROC glMapBufferARB = NULL;
glMapBufferARB = (PFNGLMAPBUFFERARBPROC)wglGetProcAddress("glMapBufferARB");

This should work for you to setup the function correctly...
