I'm a experienced c++ programmer. And I want to develop a game like DiabloII for fun. Is there any free game engine written in visual C++ can be used .

csstnt,

Check out www.devmaster.net 's 3d engine database. You can search for specific things, such as isometric views or something. If you dont' like their selection, check out www.sourceforge.net

cstnt,

Well keep in mind that d2 wasn't completely isometric. I think the perspective setting was a dead give-away. You also could adapt an opensource engine, such as ogre, nebula, crystal space, etc. That would probably be your best option, because we know that you want to make a shiny game, not just any game :)
