GeForce 4 Ti 4400, AMD 2600, 512Mb RAM, runs at about 120FPS. But is the texture used for anything? All I see is a wireframe grid I can move around (Or a solid white grid if I use "Solid" rendering)

Menu - File - New

In the popup dialog, Import a height map (BMP files only)

press Ok, and it will create a new terrain based on the height map.

Pentium IV 3.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, Radeon X800 Pro
Windowed Mode (it grayed out full screen option?) at 2048 x 1536
It also said Refresh Rate: 60, but was this actually used at all?

BB Format: X8R8G8B8
DB Format: D24X8

First start up: 1551 FPS
Mount Saint Helens: 185 FPS
FP Mode: ~1200 FPS

I'd like to point out then when translating the terrain appears to be clipped / culled improperly. I especially noticed this in FP Mode.

Looks like you've done a good job thus far :)

Mythar,

Dual Xeon 3.2's
Quadro FX

It says I was getting 800+ frames, but every second and a half it acted like it had to catch up to itself. How are you rendering everything, in the WM_PAINT call?

Rendered using Mt St Helens in solid:

Top: 188fps
Top LOD: 880fps
FP LOD: 880fps

This is on a Athlon 3500+ with Dual Geforce 6600 Gts in SLI mode.

First of, thx for testing :)

seems the overall performance is ok.

ms291052 : im only using a very simple "cull" to get better performance.

Galapaegos : im using the appliction "OnIdel" for the timer.
