i want to make a 2d fighting game just like street fighter, how do i go about starting?

start here probably a good resource for starters. There are just too many ways you can go (C#/C/C++/VB/Delphi, 2D/3D, OpenGL/DirectX, etc...), so you really need to be more specific with your questions [smile].
