Difference between debug and release (VS 6.0)

Hi. My game works in debug mode but not in release mode (i e it crashes in release mode ). So I want to know all the differences that could be causing this problem. I've already compared all values that differ between the two "versions" in the project settings and tried to set them so they are the same, but the problem remains. Thanks in advance PS. I might as well add that the game uses DirectX

Maybe you can explain the part that does not work in release mode. Since debug mode is a bit safer, you might have forgotten to initialise some variables at some point.

It's almost definietely some value you haven't initialised, go through your code and make sure all variables are initialized before you use them.

Also make sure you didn't go out of bounds of an array. If you use vectors, change you [] to the at() function.
