No, and I'm quite sure you can't. The multi-line edit box is intended for multi-lined text, yes, but there is no concept of lines in there. There is just a flat buffer of text that gets cut-off at the box border per word. So, the multi-line-ness of the box is merely visual.

(that is if we are talking MS VC MFC C++ here)
