For Beginners

I downloaded the most recent Direct X SDK (April). The examples that come with it work in their original location but when I copy and paste them in my dev folder I have a problem. I copied the "Common" folder to the same position in the dev folder so the paths should work. It compiles without incident but when I run I get an exception error. Any Ideas?

Do you have all the multimedia stuff copied too? What error exactly, does it give? You can always try and use the debugger to walk through the code and see where it's crashing.

I put a breakpoint where it crashes and walked for a couple hundreds steps but lost my patience :(
