Hey all, Ive been playing online no limit holdem tourneys for a while now and am getting better so for a laugh i thought i would investigate a few casinos near me and try a tourney. I have found a few tourneys that are like pot limit with a £20+£2 entry. What im interested in is whether anyone else here has had any experience in tourneys like this and could give me any advice (apart from the obvious). Just so you know, im not going in to this expecting to win, just to try it out and give me an insight into live play. thanks, ace

Generally speaking, people sit forward when they have a weak hand, and lean back when its strong. Check out the people, thats a well known fact so forget it if they look proffesional. But remember, everyone will probably look proffesional (most likely), so immediately itll start to test your skill.

Watch the people who talk alot. Unless its UK rules, in which case I believe they dont allow caual conversation at the table. If thats not the case, let me know I'll try to give you some tips..
Make you sure you do you what Bill Fillmaff does. You'll be sure to win.
Just had a look at that site, is it complete bullshit?
That site is HILARIOUS.

Yep, it's basically a parady of Phil Helmuth playing poker.
I was gonna say!!!
Not sure if they have this show in England. It's pretty interesting to watch.
Channel 5 are showing the PartyPoker.com invitational at the moment. It's usually on around midnight. Great stuff, and the commentators are brilliant.

I used to play poker in casinos (strictly for fun) now and again, but I don't think I'd ever play online (ie seriously).
