According to the hints they've been dropping, the new official search should be coming pretty soon. In the meantime, we've been using a workaround detailed here - it's basically an improved search string for Google, available as a Firefox plugin or as a &#106avascript function (or you can just copy/paste the string yourself to modify it as you see fit), and it works pretty well.
