Hello, fellow programmers. I'm writing this post because I need help from people more familiar with DirectDraw than me. I followed a tutorial I found in these forums, but, when I execute the program (it should switch the resolution to 640x480x16) and show a bitmap, it only switches and flickers (I can see the form between blinks). When I try to execute it in window mode, it doesn't flicker, but the only thing it shows is garbage, like a corrupted versión of my desktop. Does anybody know what could cause this?

A corrupted version of the desktop could possibly be caused by the bitmap you're trying to blit to the screen not actually being initialised (so it just contains random junk, which might happen to be part of the desktop image). Are you sure that it is being loaded successfully?

I used the debugger and the parameters of the bitmap object were right (height, width, colors...), so I think it is loaded.
