I need help calculating the linear velocity vector .... I have a starting point (x,y,z), another point along a linear path(x,y,z) and the speed (lets call the variable 'rate') at which I am traveling along the path. How would I calcuate the linear velocity vector (vx,vy,vz)? Thanks, Andrew

Assuming you mean that you are moving in a straight line from point A to point B with speed 'rate', then the linear velocity is simply

Vector Direction = Position Vector of Point B - Position Vector of Point A
Normalize(Direction)
Velocity Vector = Direction * rate
