Collision and Detection

i have created my 3D world using DirectX 9 API . now i want to do collision detection . i am very new to Directx and game programming . i have seen some algo and topics on gamedev but i can't get them working . i am doing this from last 2 months plz can any one provide me help on this with some source code.

You can find source code for some basic bounding volumes in The Octagon Engine. You can use those classes to create various bounding volumes for the objects in your 3D world but you still have to determine which objects have collided and who to deal with the collision.
