Hi, i have a software here thats works only if a paralele device (a key) is present... is there anyway i could read bit by bit whats on the key and write it to a usb device for exemple ? I never did paralele device reading... Thanks

What you're refering to is known as a dongle and I would guess that there will be some sort of challenge-response mechanism involved which may require a fair bit of reverse engineering, you may as well just use the dongle. If you want to use it in a computer that doesn't have a parallel port you should be able to get hold of a PCI IO card with parallel ports on pretty cheaply.
