I'm wondering what options I have for creating 3d models at a cheap price or for free. What software should I use? I'm looking for software $100 or less or for free

Milkshape 3D

Good modeler, under $35 USD.

Another free one: Caligari trueSpace 3.2 (Profesional quality program, and yes it is free and works, I got it myself. You need to send a valid email to get your license key)

I second that. It seems like Caligari releases their really old software (4 or more versions old) as freeware. However, it's still good stuff - I worked with TS4, and while the interface takes a little getting used to, it's a decent program.

Milkshape is great for importing and exporting stuff from other games, though. There are tons of plugins.
