confirm TGA pixel format

Can someone confirm the in file layout of a pixel for 24/32 bit TGA for me. I think 24bit images are BGR and 32bit is BGRA. Ex If you read in a 32bit image, the data would look like this BGRABGRABGRA... (each BGRA is a pixel and each of B G R and A are a byte). Is that right? Im getting some strange colors in my images that I need to sort out.
