pygame.event.get() bug?

Okay, maybe it's not a bug, but it's really driving me nuts. pygame.event.get() is only returning keyup/keydown events while the mouse is moving over the window (moving at all when in fullscreen). pygame.event.wait() returns keyup/keydown events as it should. Here's the offending code:
    def __poll_pygame(self):
        for e in pygame.event.get():
            if e.type == pygame.KEYDOWN:
                print "Down: %s" % e.unicode
            elif e.type == pygame.KEYUP:
                print "Up: %s" % e.key

Anybody have any ideas?
