Hello, I downloaded the free Visual Studio 2005 Express Beta 2 and installed to my final Windows x64 (note that this is 64 bits windows). Everything seemed to work fine but now I'm trying to do some Direct3D / OpenGL programming and I need to use windows.h. But windows.h doesn't exist? So I got a windows.h from the net and then some other header file is missing (windef.h) and after that one another one was missing. So my question would be, why didn't I get any windows.h and can I get it and all other necessary files I need with it somewhere? I'm not sure if this is a 64 bits issue or a Visual Studio 2005 Express Beta 2 issue.

The express edition doesn't come with the platform SDK, you need to download that separately from MSDN.

Also, I don't think the express editions include a 64-bit compiler, but you can still run 32-bit apps on x64.
