Our book "Real-Time Rendering" is shipping as of today, July 28th. For sample sections (including tutorials on bump mapping, image based
rendering, and some basic ray casting operations), table of contents, and other information on the book see http://www.acm.org/tog/resources/RTR/. This site's main purpose, however, is to present an annotated set of links to web resources relating
to the field, distilled from years of spending too much time on the web.
