Hi I try to calculate the width and height of text, but i always get the following exception: "InvalidOperationException, Operation is not valid due to the current state of the object" When I look at the drawText method inside the MSDN it sais clearly " This method must be called inside a IDirect3DDevice9::BeginScene ... IDirect3DDevice9::EndScene block. The only exception is when an application calls ID3DXFont::DrawText with DT_CALCRECT to calculate the size of a given block of text." I'm calling it with the CalcRect flag set to true, but stil it gives me this error. What am I doing wrong? Kind regards Alexander
