exporting object with textures to x file from maya

Does anyone know how can I export object with texture to x file from maya. I have exported object but without textures, I load a texture to hypershade conect it to blin material and asign thath material to object, do cylindrical maping to object but when i export it and load it in my code i don't get it with texture. Anyone can help ?

The exporters that come with the DirectX SDK only support DirectXShader (D3DX Effect-based) materials right now.

it still don't work , probably i'm doing something wrong , is there anything I should do except to asign DirectXShader with file texture for color node to object and do cylindrical maping ?
