World Forger Screenshot World Forger was a C++/MFC project for one of my college courses. All done with school, I don't see the harm in releasing it to the public. It's fairly simple to use but (poorly written) instructions are included just incase. The source should be fairly free of hard-coded values, but you might find one or two. Searches for "3" (the number of layers) and "32" (the size of tiles) should reveal all you need to change. We weren't able to find any (remaining) bugs, but you never know. You're on your own to find and solve those. ;) The map file format is described within LoadMap and SaveMap of CMapFile. The actual editing portion of the program is a custom control derived from CWnd. It doesn't use double buffering, so you might find some flickering especially with the grid enabled. Also of note: The map is incorrectly rendered from left to right instead of top to bottom. That's an easy fix, just not something I realized until after I handed in the project. Finally, if you wish to use any custom tiles just throw them into the "Tiles" subdirectory. The application recursively searches from there, and builds the entire directory structure as a tree. This let's you organize all of your tiles. Feel free to modify it and use it however you want. Send me a message if you do decide to use / modify it though, I'd love to see where it ends up. A very ugly Mario example map is included. ;) Enjoy!
