BOOL in Win32

is the BOOL function in Win32 the same as the standard bool, or are they different and if I mix them up will it screw up the program?

if you poke around in the windows headers (windef.h possibly) you should find:

typedef int BOOL;

Windows uses some pretty strange bools. For one thing, they often have 3 or more possible values.

For example, GetMessage() returns -1 on errors, 0 on WM_QUIT, and nonzero on everything else. ;)

But yeah, they're really defined as ints
