I am developping a lightmap calculation system. And, HOW GOD!!!, it's really long to calculate. So...I try to find how to optimise. In first, I am implementing OBB tree. After, as it's principally for architectural scene, a scene graph seems too be a correct idea. But probably I go to a wrong direction? Does another technique exist? You might want to look into KD trees, in many cases, when built correctly they can outperform Octrees.
