I'm having trouble with the background music in an app. I'm trying to play some midi files and the problem is that after a couple of minutes of playback the sound produced becomes scratchy and distorted; and on some occasions it just disappears altogether bringing my whole system down along with it. I have no clue as to how to fix this. I've tried playing the files in their own thread but this doesn't really help much. Any help would be appreciated.
