Setting a texture as the framebuffer?

How do i set a texture as the framebuffer so i can use glCopyTexSubImage2D?

glBindTexture(GL_TEXTURE_2D, texture). if you select the texture with this then glCopyTexSubImage2D will copy the framebuffer to the texture.

i know i have but i need to know how to set a image as the framebuffer so i can copy from it
goto www.opengl.org and see the faq Q/ how to draw a fullscreen quad or something
alternately u can get the textures data with glGetTexImage..(..) or someit
