Refferring back to this thread (http://www.gamedev.net/community/forums/topic.asp?topic_id=320592&whichpage=1&). Does anyone know for sure if 1) according to the specs FBOs are allowed to lack a color attachment and 2) if the current implementation allows it EDIT: ARGH, i cant believe i posted without going back and grabbing the URL thanks -Dan [Edited by - Ademan555 on May 25, 2005 7:30:06 PM]
When General Patton died after World War 2 he went to the gates of Heaven to talk to St. Peter. The first thing he asked is if there were any Marines in heaven. St. Peter told him no, Marines are too rowdy for heaven. He then asked why Patton wanted to know. Patton told him he was sick of the Marines overshadowing the Army because they did more with less and were all hard-core sons of bitches. St. Peter reassured him there were no Marines so Patton went into Heaven. As he was checking out his new home he rounded a corner and saw someone in Marine Dress Blues. He ran back to St. Peter and yelled "You lied to me! There are Marines in heaven!" St. Peter said "Who him? That's just God. He wishes he were a Marine."

I don't know much about FBO's yet (my card doesn't support them yet!). JavaCoolDude may know though. I know he has used them.

Slaru
With no color attachments your FBO is considered incomplete. You can attach and detach textures from it at a later time though, at least according to my own testings :)
YAY(for the help) BOO(at whoever wrote the spec). I'd rate you up Java, but i already have :-p

(if anyone else has different experience feel free to share it, this isnt what i had hoped for lol)

thanks
