NPC response: to DUMB ACTIONS

When I play games like Half-Life or Deus Ex, I'm always annoyed that the game characters don't include a response to the silly things that the player is able to do. Ie. If the player chooses to JUMP ON THE SPOT (this really annoys me) The player goes around PICKING UP all the scenery. Wastepaper baskets etc. If the player stand still for ages. when they THROW OBJECTS at the NPC. (ie. throwing the flag at manderly in Deus Ex). Adventure games used to do something along this line, ie. if the player chooses to jump the game itself says "Wheee!". So it should be a fairly simple matter to implement a whole bunch of different sound-samples when the player does common "silly things". So what would you say to common examples: Jumping, feeling energetic today Gordon?, hup two three four!, It's your birthday! Throwing things, quit it asshole, ... ... .etc Provide examples of things you wish games would respond to and we'll see if we can come up with some responses.

Half Life2 they respond to throwing things at them.

Blizzard has always added that to Warcraft and Starcraft games i believe(constantly clicking the same character over and over again gives you different responses and if its more like 3 times they start responding silly).

What else could they do beyond a verbal rebuke...
they could chuck it back at you. Come over and slap you like Meryl in Metal Gear Solid...
