shadow problem while rendering quad

hi i am rendering textured quad with render-to-texture method.it seems to work fine but got problems with the shadows. when rendering the quad the ground/plain seems to go dark,it looks like some transparent black object is being rendered on top of the ground/plain.at first i thought it may be z-fight,z-buff problem and tried various renderstates.the problem is gone only when the shadows are not rendered :(,any idea what could be the reason? btw the quad is rendered at the last.

post screenshots, the only thing I can guess is that you're not checking if the angle to the position from the light source is within the field of view of the light's perspective matrix. Be sure to clear the z buffer each time you draw the geometry too.
