DirectShow with c++: Why isn't a stop position set?

I have some music that I need to play. However, I want the fading out part to be cut off, so I'm supposed to use IMediaSeeking::SetPosition, right? Weell... Even though I set the TimeFormat to 100 Nanosecond units with TIME_FORMAT_MEDIA_TIME and the stop position to 1,000,000 with the flag to AM_SEEKING_AbsolutePositioning, the music keeps on playing even after 10 seconds. What's wrong?

Most directx functions return a value that will tell you what happened, maybe go check the return value and msdn.
